Sensational City Walks Tip

There’s no doubting that Australia’s cities are sensational places to visit. Weather it’s for a business trip, a weekend getaway or that special concert or event you’ve had pinned up on the fridge all year – any amount of time in an Australian city never has a dull moment.

But amidst all the action (meetings or partying, take your pick) there’s always need for a bit of R & R – rest and recuperation. Now we know hotels lobby’s are a great place to rest your head… and the pool gives you that warm fuzzy, relaxed sort of feeling – but save that for after (you’ll need it) – this is a new and exciting city guys - so get out there and put on those walking shoes again. Yes that’s right its ‘walking time’!

Take Australia’s most populated city for example. Automatically when you hear the phrase ‘most populated’, many people think: ‘ahhh there’s no way to escape all those people or that fast-paced lifestyle... .oh well, I better just sit in it… anyway I’m only here for a few days, so it doesn’t matter”.

WRONG! Sydney, for its size, is arguably one of the easiest cities in the world to get out of that hustle & bustle city lifestyle. It’s seemingly endless harbour and beach-fringed coastline accounts for an incredible amount of picturesque walking trails just waiting for you to explore. So here’s a brief, yes brief checklist: Print this out and tick them off one-by-one. These walks will have you organizing another business trip, concert or holiday to Sydney in no time … (oh and extending of course – isn’t that the idea!)

Spit Bridge to Manly & North Head: Spectacular views of the Harbour – North Head & South Head and old gun barracks.

Coogee to Bondi: Sydney’s most famous walk - Gordons Bay, swimming; people watching; Waverly Cemetery & of course the amazing Bondi Beach.

Harbour Bridge to South Head: Insane views of the Harbour, million dollar mansions on the water front; amazing cafes!

Barrenjoey to Narrabeen Lakes: Palm Beach (Summer Bay of Home & Away); views of the spectacular Pittwater; Picturesque Church Point.

Clovelly to Cronulla: Sydney’s south side. Wild shores and a great cold beer at ‘Northies’ when you finish!
